Art Deco Streamline Moderne Table Lamp

Flush with success...

Flush with success of the wall sconces, and with some materials left over, I decided to make an art deco/streamline moderne table lamp.

The base of the lamp is a thick block of aluminum that I bought for the dining room light.  NO WAY that I was going to cut a square hole in it as required for the dining room light.  The vertical tube is screwed and epoxied to the back of the base.

The aluminum trim is held onto the plastic with epoxy.  I wish everything stuck better, but the lamp has held up well.  The pewter whale's tail on the base is simply sitting on the lamp base.

This stuff looks much better in real life than in these pictures.
